FMSP Vertical Indexer, Model 1138

The purpose of the model 1138 Vertical Indexer is to provide a method to control

the advancing of the trolley along the beef rail. The most common problem

requiring the use of an indexer is to assure that only one trolley is reduced to the

drive chain per drive finger.

The advantages of the I.M.S. Model 1138 Vertical Indexer are:

1. Sealed ball bearing guides that require no messy greasing and are

replaceable from the outside without time consuming disassembly.

2. This unit is designed to mount to the 4” I-beam that supports the beef rail

so there is no job site designing of the mounts. The brackets that attach

to the beef rail are bolted to the indexer, so that the indexer can be

removed by simply unbolting.

3. The mounting brackets and hydraulic cylinder are selected to provide the

stroke required. The standard strokes for this machine are 3” and 6”,

but can be changed for your requirements. The mounting brackets can

be moved from one side to the other on the machine to change the

direction of flow on the beef rail.

4. A ¾” cross bolt provides a safety feature to prevent the falling of the

lifting mechanism if the cylinder should fail.

5. All structural members are hot dipped galvanized.
